Help! Win32:Kates-Al trojan removal

Hi

Can someone please advise me how to get rid of a trojan which has been hanging around my computer for the last few weeks? My AV (avast) is detecting it and moving it to it's virus chest, but it doesn't seem to be able to get rid of it.

The trojan's name is "Win32:Kates-Al". I have gone through all the steps described in the "Read me first" thread and it is still there.

It seems to be located in a file called: "oybtxgx.bak" which is in the folder: "C:\Documents and Settings\Stuart Thomson\Local Settings\Temp". When I try to delete the file it reappears immediately.

I have attached the first 3 logs with this message and will attach the other 2 with the next post.

I am having problems uploading the MGlogs.zip file. Should I extract all the files and then upload them individually?

Hi dr moriarty - thanks for getting back to me!

Every time I try to upload the "C:\MGlogs.zip" file, I get an error message saying "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".

The file is 141kb when compressed so it shouldn't be too big, any suggestions?!

Thanks for your help so far guys - I'm actually going on holiday for a couple of weeks so I'll try and upload the mglogs.zip when I get back.
