Help, windows wont boot....

Hi,

I dont know why but windows doesnt boot anymore. I get upto the starting windows splash screen and then the blue screen comes for a split second and restarts and continues to do over and over.

I tried safe mode, last good known config, safe mode with CP.

Ive tried recovery console but theres some problem, there is no option for me to press 1, to choose the windows directory. I then went to install windows and saw thet PARTION1 is UNKNOWN and has 100% free space. Which tells me that there is no more data on the drive but the windows splash screen comes up so im keeping hope.

Could someone please help with loading windows?

 

It sounds like your HD is either failing or you may have had a virus that did some serious harm. Are you needing to recover data from the HD? If so you can download Knoppix from www.knoppix.net and create a bootable CD to boot your computer and see if there is anything remaining on your drive. If there is you can copy it accross a network to another computer.
