Help with a batch file

I have searched all over google but with no luck. What I need to do is create a batch file that stays open and every 5min or so it looks in a log file that another program created and if it finds a certain line with that log it will restart it. Also it is really two programs running in conjunction with one another but that shouldnt be a problem. Can some one help me with this?

I could create this "batch" file, but I'm sure there are others who would create something better.

Wheere is the log file?
What is the log file name?
What line does it require?
What two programs?

What line does it require? If you mean in the log file. I would have to look for something like user is already logged in.

Need specifics. As in. Have you looked at the log file? Do you know EXACTLY what you need witin the log? Exact wording would be helpful.

What is the purpose of this (.bat)ch file?

 

I have looked at the log file. It says user is already logged in. The user is not me but an outside source. The purpose of the .bat is to close both of those programs and restart them when it reads this in the log file. So that way I dont have to stay at my computer 24/7 lol.
