Please follow forum guidelines and read and follow the steps in the sticky threads. You must not post HijackThis logs unless reuqested to. And then they must be posted as attachments. You also do not have HijackThis installed in the proper folder. Please follow the directions below to install it properly and exit all browsers before running it.

    - Download HijackThis 1.99.1

    - Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

    - Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

    - Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

    - Run HijackThis and save your log file.

    - Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).

Which AV program are you trying?
Have you shut done the WinXP SP2 built-in firewall? If not, you must do that since you have ZoneAlarm installed. You must use only one software firewall.

You have a lot of stuff running. How much memory do you have on this PC?

They are trying to install Kaspersky anti-virus 5.0...it might be something with the program though...because Ive downloaded the trial version...and that works fine...

    ZoneAlarm I have no more...

The PC has 1.52GHZ, 192mb Ram...its a pretty bad computer...

    You're welcome.

If they do not want ZoneAlarm use Sygate! They must have a full blown firewall or they will always have problems. The Win XP SP2 firewall does not provide sufficient protection.

I do not need a new log as long as things are working OK!
