Ok, this is a little different for you all..

I'm pretty computer savvy, but I really don't know that much about networking. I know about the basics in networking, but absolutely do not know anything about Wide-Area-Networks.

I'm taking a networking class at school, and our final project is due this week. Even after taking this online class, I am still not confident enough with Wide-Area-Networks and wanted to see if you all could help me with my final project...

Basically, I have to design a network for a company that has three separate offices in geographically different locations. I need to design the network using Microsoft Viso, and list specific hardware and software recommendations. (I'm more concerned about the designing phase right now..

I've attached what I've created, and I'd greatly appreciate it if you guys could look at the design and make sure it's right and that everything will be able to talk to each other and function as the requirements need it to.. Or if you see a way I should change the design so the network would function better, please let me know!

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated and thank you very much!!

I'm no expert in this but i'll here is my input.

Typically if you have 3 sites in different geographic locations each site would have it's own router/firewall then using the internet a VPN connection is used from site-to-site to allow cross site communications.

I think the diagram is a bit confusing because Building 2 & 3 look like it's attached to Building 1's network or at least it looks like it's internal, but the lighting bolt looks like it's suppose to be a VPN connection? If so I think it should be shown to connect from the Internet (cloud).

The only other thing I see if that you have Company Router attached to Building 1 Router which I'm not seeing any reason for this. You could have the Building 1 router and have Building 2 & 3 connect via VPN to the Building 1 router.
