    Hello everyone!

I am glad to report that I am running Windows XP PRO x32 in a RAID 0 Configuration... but even more delighted to tell you all that I am also running Microsoft Vista on a 200GB Sata Drive. I however am somewhat dumbfounded on the whole dual-booting concept.
I just finished installing Windows Vista, and it is working like a charm. However, when I turn my computer on, I am not given an option of which Operating system that I would like to run. Any thoughts?
I have an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe, the RAID 0 Config is 2x 36.6Gb Raptors running WinXP, and standard SATA drive has vista on it. Could this be something to do with jumpers? Thanks for any help everyone!

    Ian

it's a bit strange coz if you installed vista after XP, there must be organized some sort of bootmanager automaticaly, any way you can install it your self, for example grab or os selector, you can find them on majorgeeks.

I didn't quite understand what you're saying... Am I supposed to download some type of software called OS Selector? So, because I installed Vista After XP, that could be causing my problem? ...

To set up a duel boot...
It's best if you have both OP systems on one hard drive within separate partitions.
Also it's best to have each partition the same type so that both OP systems can read both partitions freely.
    Either FAT32 or NTFS.
And first partition should be set to a primary partition.

    Now...
The rule of thumb is to install the oldest OP system first.
In your case XP first on the primary partition.
Then Vista on the second extended partition.

What this does is install a "boot.ini" file into the primary partition letting the system know there are two operating systems.

Hope that helps you out. :)
