    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please explain what malware problems you were having that prompted you to run this cleaning procedure. Also explain what malware problems you are still having.

Now download HostsXpert and then follow the below steps.
    • Unzip HostsXpert.zip
[*]It will create a folder named HostsXpert in whatever folder you extract it to.
[*]Run HostsXpert.exe, click Restore Microsoft's Hosts File and then click OK.
[*]Click the X to exit the program

My internet connection keeps getting dropped about once every half hour four about two minutes. I ran the program you suggested.

I don't see any major issues that would cause problems like you are describing. In fact, it really does not sound like malware. However let me ask a few questions about somethings I see and also I will give you some items to fix and we will go from there.

Did you install the below before or after the problems began:
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RealSPEED] C:\Program Files\RealSPEED\RealSPEED.Exe /check
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [StayAlive] C:\Program Files\RealSPEED\StayAlive.Exe

Do you know what the below liesuserhelp folders are for that showed up recently?
    Code:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Casey & Ileana\Application Data\
    LIESUS~1 Jul 3 2007 "liesuserhelp"
    C:\Program Files\
    LIESUS~1 Jul 3 2007 "liesuserhelp"
Do you know what the below files are for that showed up recently? If not, put them into a ZIP file and attach it here.
    Code:
    "C:\WINDOWS\"
    winrspw.exe Jul 5 2007 1064 "Winrspw.exe"
    winzipme.ini Jul 5 2007 48 "winzipme.ini"

You can uninstall the CounterSpy trial now since we are finished with it.

Also uninstall this old version of Sun Java: J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6

Run HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O2 - BHO: FastRX - {E09962E7-A39E-4F60-8003-66D57BED27B7} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\fastRX.dll (file missing)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_02\bin\jusched.exe"

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now download The Avenger by Swandog46, and save it to your Desktop.
    • Extract avenger.exe from the Zip file and save it to your desktop
    • Run avenger.exe by double-clicking on it.
    • Check the 'Input script manually' box.
    • Click on the magnifying glass icon.
    • Copy everything in the Quote box below, and paste it in the box that opens:
    • Now click the 'Done' button.
    • Click on the traffic light icon and OK the prompt.
    • You will be prompted to restart, OK the prompt and your PC should reboot, if not, reboot it yourself.
    • A log file from Avenger will be produced at C:\avenger.txt
    Now run Ccleaner!

Now attach the below new logs and tell me how the above steps went.

    1. Avenger
    2. ShowNew
    3. HJT

Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

Thank you for your replys. I installed the real speed programs BECAUSE I was having these problems. I do not know what these files are for(liesuserhelp). I also don't know what these files are for(winrspw.exe and winzipme.ini). I will attach them. I did everything else you said to do, but when I rebooted after running avenger I got an error message saying that there was no disk in the specified drive. The DOS prompt was only at 83% when this happened. I hit cancel and it opened the following text file. Also, I do not know what "ShowNew" is. I will let you know how it is working after I let it go a while.

They are folders not files. What do you see inside the folders?

I have no conclusive info on these but I just don't like the looks of them. Rename winrspw.exe to winrspw.exe.bak
    Rename winzipme.ini to winzipme.ini.bak

It is what you ran during the READ & RUN ME. The program is ShowNew.bat and the log file it produces is newfiles.txt.

    Delete the below folder:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Casey & Ileana\Desktop\Easy.AVI.DIVX.XVID.To.DVD.Burner.v2.4.1.Incl.Keymaker-ARN

    C:\Documents and Settings\Casey & Ileana\Application Data\
    LIESUS~1 Jul 3 2007 "liesuserhelp"
    C:\Program Files\
    LIESUS~1 Jul 3 2007 "liesuserhelp"

Both of these folders are empty.
I did everything else you suggested.

    Then delete those two folders.

    Your logs are clean.

Are you having any malware problems now?

Well that's great then. You're welcome.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. If we used Pocket Killbox during your cleanup, do the below
      • Run Pocket Killbox and select File, Cleanup, Delete All Backups
    2. If we used ComboFix, you can delete the ComboFix.exe file, C:\ComboFix folder, C:\QooBox folder, C:\WINDOWS\nircmd.exe, and the C:\combofix.txt log that was created.
    3. If we user SDFix you can delete all the SDFix related files and folders from your Desktop or whereever you installed it.
    4. If we used SmitFraudFix, you can delete all files and folders related to it now including the c:\rapport.txt log.
    5. If we used VundoFix, you can delete the VundoFix.exe file and the C:\VundoFix Backups folder and C:\vundofix.txt log that was created.
    6. If we had your run FixWareOut, you can delete the Fixwareout.exe file and the C:\fixwareout folder.
    7. If we had you run Avenger, you can delete all files related to Avenger now.
    8. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    9. You can delete the ShowNew.Zip and GetRunkey.Zip files and the files that you extracted from the ZIP files. You can also delete the C:\newfiles.txt and C:\runkeys.txt logs that were created
    10. If you are running Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • go back to step 8 of the READ & RUN ME to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    11. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
