Please take a look at this log ...

Hi all, I had a problem with my XP, it won't shutdown. I found in MajorGeeks a big help in finding some trojans, thank you !
I followed the disinfection procedure and now it seems all ok.

Since I can't recognize all the items, can you please check the HijackThis log as a confirm ?

    tnx again guys ,

    Alex

    Welcome to MajorGeeks AlexQ ;)

    There is no log attached

If you suspect malware please run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)

    Bitdefender
    Panda Scan
    HijackThis

    Good Luck!:)

Not really! Please attach the two logs requested in step 6. Also you did not attach the CounterSpy log as requested since you ran it instead of Windows Defender.

Hi there, I found some trojans on my XP.

I ran all the steps of the procedure, using CounterSpy instead of Windows Defender.

Can you please help me in reading the logs, just to be sure that everything is ok ?

    tnx

    Alex

    alexq,

I merged your new thread with your previous one, please post in here from now on and Chaslang will assist you. Also please attach your logs as .txt or .log files if possible. If they are too large then you can ZIP them but only if requested.

I don't see any malware issues in your logs! Are you still having any problems?

No, it seems all ok now, I just wanted to be sure because I'm not an expert in reading the logs :)

For example if I run msconfig I see an entry in the startup tab with all the fields empty. I feared this may be a malware ...

    Bye

That is just a null entry which happens quite frequently. It can often cause a system32 folder to appear on your Desktop when you first boot up. You can more than likely use the below to clean this up:

    MSConfig Cleanup
