    Hello, first time here so sorry if I dont do things correctly. I have gone through the malware removal procedure and have attached my log files. The only step I had a problem with was RootRepeal. The program installed fine and started up fine but as soon as I clicked the "Scan" button my computer restarted. I tried this again and the same thing happened.

    I obtained a number of viruses and malware when I was trying to apply windows xp themes for the first time. I downloaded a program called UxMultitheme or something similar. Obviously not good. Had programs like "Xp Security" and I beleive the other one was called "AntiSuite" or something like that. Tried a few things myself and managed to fix a lot of the problems but am now currently stuck.

    My computer seems to be running fine except for the odd redirect in my internet browser and when I run a "HiJackThis" log I notice a few things out of order.

    In any case any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Let's start with this:

    * Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
    If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    * Also make sure you have shut down all protection software (antivirus, antispyware...etc) or they may get in the way of allowing ComboFix to run properly.
    * If ComboFix tells you it needs to update to a new version, make sure you allow it to update.
    * Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below code box into it (make sure you scroll all the way down in the code box to get all lines selected ):
    Code:
    KILLALL::

    Driver::
    {34AF3FE6-08DB-45DC-9522BB53AE978A5D}

    File::
    c:\windows\TEMP\1D.tmp
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\1474v
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\2054117988
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\4b8ki
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\abcijxytp
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\cnhijgmcc
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\1474v
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\2054117988
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\4b8ki
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Templates\1474v
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Templates\2054117988
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Templates\4b8ki
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\wmvdmoe2H.dll
    c:\windows\Qnuxepazucowopo.dat
    c:\windows\Tjalesewe.bin
    c:\documents and settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\cnhijgmcc
    c:\documents and settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\abcijxytp

    Folder::
    c:\documents and settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\cnhijgmcc
    c:\documents and settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\abcijxytp

    Registry::
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\ControlSet005\Services\{34AF3FE6-08DB-45DC-9522BB53AE978A5D}]

    * Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    * At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    * You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
    If it asks you to overide the prvevious file with the same name, click YES.
    * Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/CFScriptB-4.gif
    * Follow the prompts.
    * When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    * I will ask for this log below

    Note:

    Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:

    * C:\ComboFix.txt
    * C:\MGlogs.zip

    Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

    Alright completed both. Everything looks okay for now. About 2 hours before I received your reply I did have another fake antivirus start again. I ran Malwarebytes again and it seemed to fix the problem. I also installed Avira on my computer to help, this was of course before I received your reply.

    So in any case things seem fine again although when I run HiJackthis there are still a few things that seem out of place.

    Ive attached the 2 logs you asked for. I did also stop Avira before I ran ComboFix and MGtools as you requested just incase you were wondering.

    Thank you very much for your help.

    So the first MGtools.zip file was run from the C:\MGtools.exe and not C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat, Realized this immediately after I sent it. So here you go and sorry for the mistake.

    Your internet provider is furnishing you F-Secure AV, which must be disabled if you are going to run Avira.

    One more time:
    * Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
    If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.

    I thought I had uninstalled Shaw Secure (F-Secure) and it does not appear to be in my Add/Remove. In any case I went to this website http://shawsecure.ca/uninstalling_shaw_secure.php and ran rmss.exe to make sure it was uninstalled.

    I performed the 2 tasks again. As before things seem to be running fine except for my HiJackThis log shows a few programs I dont recognize.

    Thanks again

    Are you having any re-directs in your browsers? Your logs look good, but there is a new virus going around that is hard to see.

    You still have some leftovers from F-Secure, so use windows explorer to find and delete:
    c:\documents and settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\332926973.dll
    c:\documents and settings\NetworkService\Local Settings\Application Data\F-Secure
    c:\program files\Shaw Secure
    c:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\fssg
    c:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\f-secure
    C:\Temp\SHAW

    Please run this: GMER - running with a random name and attach the log from GMER.

    Ok, deleted all those files and ran GMER. And im getting a few redirects. It is more rare though.

    Now please download SystemLook from one of the links below and save it to your Desktop.

    Download Mirror #1

    Download Mirror #2

    • Double-click SystemLook.exe to run it. (If you are using Vista, please right-click and select run as administartor)
    • A blank Windows shall open with the title "SystemLook v1.0-by Jpshortstuff".
    • Copy and Paste the content of the following codebox into the main textfield under "File":

    Code:
    :filefind
    WudfPf.sys
    SI3112r.sys

    • Please Confirm everything is copied and Pasted as I have provided above
    • Click the Look button to start the scan.
    • When finished, a notepad window will open with the results of the scan. You can close this notepad window as the log will already be saved as SystemLook.txt on your Desktop ( if you downloaded and ran SystemLook to your Desktop as requested ).
    • Please attach this log in your next reply.

    Note: The scan may take a while from several seconds to a minute or more depending on the number of files you have and how fast your computer can perform the task.

    There is nothing wrong with those items, unless your homepage is not google and you do not have your computer (s) part of a domain. If you want to reset them:
    Please copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
