Help with my slow system

I was reading through the forums and didnt know if this is in the right place, but here I go. My machine starts slow and programs open and responds slow, I can list the programs I have installed (unless it lists them in the log I posted). I am running the following currently:

Win XP Por sp2(build 2600)
2.0 gig P4
8 kilobite primary memory cache
40 gig hard drive with 31 gig free space
Bus clock 100 mhz
256 MB memory

I read the slow start up thread and ran HJT and have attached the log. I have a feeling from reading that I am in desperate need or ram, but want to make sure that is it. This is my work computer and I dont want to screw it up, I am fully aware that a little information can get you into a heap of trouble when it comes to this type of stuff. I have also completed the "read me first before asking " thread. Thanks in advance, I can get a bit long winded.

Before you post a Hijackthis.log Read through these two threads and do all the steps:

If you dont see any visible results you can start a new tread there asking for permission to post the log and help.
