Help with OTB Pop Ups and HSA Please!

    Yes enable system restore but you do not have to hide the files again. There is no reason to do that. It is sort of a builtin safety feature of Windows to protect the novice user from seeing and deleting system files. But as you can see, it makes it is for malware to hide itself and more difficult to remove. The first thing I do when installing a new system is to enable viewing of hidden files and folders and to make sure I can see all extensions. I don't want anything hidden from me (matter of personal preference). As long as you use a little care while using Windows Explorer it should not matter that you have hidden files and folders viewable.
