Hey guys, I'm having a problem with HPSS on the PC.

I've installed the game and everything, but whenever I click the icon to start the game, the logo appears, but then nothing. Nothing happens. I've even added it to the trusted zone of my antivirus but it does nothing :( Please help me!

Which OS are you in, Vista or XP? Which one was the game made for?

Make sure the shortcut is pointing to the correct file, and if it does, try launching the game by double-clicking on that file directly, not by using the shortcut.

I'm on XP, and I'm sure it was made for it because it worked perfectly fine on my old computer which was XP too.

I've tried going to the main file, but it still doesn't work :/

Okay... we need more info then. What else do you have running? Which antivirus and which firewall? What's the biggest difference between this computer and the old one? Have you tried a complete uninstall-reinstall of the game?

My antivires is Kaspersky, version 7. I've tried a complete reinstall, but it didn't work. The biggest difference? I guess it would be that this one is branded and the other one wasn't.

I don't really get you when you say 'What else do you have running'. I have all windows closed, so...

    Next then... which firewall?

All windows closed doesn't mean you have nothing else running. Look in the system tray in the lower right corner (by the clock). Every icon there, well almost every anyway, represents a process that is currently running. There are also others that may be running without telling you about it.

If you know your hardware specs, or the full make and model of the computer, that would also be really helpful.

Okay, lets see...I have my antivirus running (Kaspersky), I have that internet icon there, I have MSN messenger (but I always sign out when I play games), Windows Updater, the Volume thingy, the USB thingy (my tablet), LimeWire and PowerISO.

As for which Firewall, how do I find out 'which' firewall I have? :/

Sorry for being such a fool, but I really don't get stuff about games -_-

Turn off LimeWire. It's a malware fest anyway, and really not recommended to use. :)

If you don't know which software firewall you have installed, you are probably behind the default Windows one. Unless you play online, that should not interfere with your game.

One more thing: you said you have a brand computer? Which one, specifically?

Once I know that, I will do some research and see what I can find out about your computer and your game, and get back to you.

    Okay, Limewire's gone...my computer is HP :)

Oh, and one more thing has been added to the System Tray, just in case you need to know. I installed a new printer, so the 'Canon-My Printer' icon is there. Thank you so much for your help :)

Which HP? They have a very large number of systems out there. Is it a Business Notebook, a Pavilion, a Presario, a zv, dx, dv...? Look on the back of your computer for a sticker with a model number on it.

Sorry for not answering for a while :]

I'm not sure but there's a white sticker and right at the top it says 'HP Compaq'. I'm really not sure if this is the type or whatever.

Desktop or laptop? There should be a model number on the sticker on the back.
