    Hello all, I have been upgrading a customers old PC. Installed more ram, new hard drive. Customer also wanted windows 7. This is where I have run into trouble. The bios is dated Feb 24th 2004. The bios is Phoenix Award.
    Computer Details.
    Manufactured by EvashamVale = Went out of business in 2008
    Motherboard = Biostar USA = last update download for bios is listed as 2004
    Motherboard version = U8668 - D
    Chipset = Via P4M266 (VT8751)
    Southbridge = Via VT8235
    Intel Celeron - Northwood - socket 478 mpga
    Bios oem - U8668R21 - D 6.00 PG

    This is all of the information I can find. The Phoenix website has a section for bios upgrades but when you click on it it take you to the driveragent page. These lovely people tell me there is a update but to download the update they want £35 for 1 years subscription. Anyone have any ideas as I need to get the bios to about 2008/9 for Windows 7 to have any chance.
    Thanks, Den.

    Hello,
    I am not sure what version you have but it seems all versions have the same BIOS version 1.9.3.3 dated 2011-01-11. But the pdf file has no mention of Phoenix, only Award and AMI. You might want to send them an email just to make sure.
