help with pop ups please

for the last week or so i have been bombarded with pop ups ,using firefox with google on xp ,checked the firefox blocker an that seems fine ,is there any good free pop up blocker software u's could recomend ,thanks in advanced

 

AdBlocker Plus. Its an addon to firefox and get noscript while your at it, it wont allow any scripts to run unless you allow the website to run them. Just incase you get phished.


Also check your Control Panel > admin tools > services. that "Messenger" which isnt MSN messenger is disabled.

Read the description to that messenger it allows pop up adverts which is annoying to hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
