OK, so today, about half an hour ago, I was on my PC and my main screen starts to flicker and then it just blacks out. The HDMI cable was firmly plugged in at both ends.

I tested the HDMI cable with my laptop to the flickering screen and it worked fine, no flickering or blacking out.

I have two screens btw, the flickering one was my main screen, but I've now made it my second one, which has actually stopped the flickering! So I know it's not the cable or a matter of just being plugged in, so it's kinda fixed, but I'm not one to leave problems like this untouched.

    My specs:

    • GA-F2A78M-DS2 by Gigabyte
    • AMD Athlon X4 860k Quad Core Processor @ 3.70 GHz
    • 8 GB of Ram
    • Windows 7 64-bit
    • EVGA GeForce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5
    • Toshiba D01ACA100 1TB HDD
    • WD 1TB Blue HDD
    • Samsung SH-224DB CD/dvd reader & writer
    • EVGA 500W power supply
Small update, the flickering screen is now my main one again, and hasn't had any flickering (in about 10 minutes) so it could've just not been plugged in right, although I did unplug it several times. But like I said I don't just want to over look this. If someone could return the power consumption of my system for me that would be great. I know that it will have increased, but it was pretty low before I upgraded it

~300W gaming would be my estimate, plug your full details in at eXtreme PSU Calc.: http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator

Somewhere between 40-65% of total PSU capacity would be pretty efficient and give decent headroom.

I looked around online and worked out a rough estimate, and it's 300 and something yeah, so I know it wasn't a power issue, it's been working fine since then, so I imagine it was just a faulty connection, but I'll keep an eye out incase it happens again.
