I used HijackThis for the 1st time and it was really helpful! I got rid of most of this problem (I had a ton of trojans), but my Windows Defender is still finding 1 Trojan virus when it does it's scan. Can somebody who is better at this than I am, look at my log below and see which files I have to remove for my problem to be solved? I am running on Windows Vista. Also: I attempted to delete 2 "ROs" that don't belong several times, and these two never seem to go away...what gives? Any advice would help. Thanks!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

HijackThis is not a program that you should be using on your own. Based on your logs you may have been removing things you should not be removing. You may want to restore from backups whatever you removed and let us tell you what to fix after you complete the below instructions.

Why are you running your PC without any protection software other than Windows Defender? You have no antivirus and are also relying on the inadequate Vista firewall.

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide
    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
    Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run theREAD & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can run steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
