The only two I find are in the Back Up Section and they are Nero the shareware version and the Nero 9 - Free version. You're right though, the link you've posted shows no info.

Yeah, I looked through some of the other posts, but I kinda wanted to see the invisible one.
Oh well, maybe one of the upper echelon geeks can restore it.
    Thanks!

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. This is really something more for Major Attitude to look at.

The post in question is part of a sticky [Guides and Frequently Asked Questions > Computer Maintenance > Setting Up a New Computer].
I've used Nero in the past (though not for backups) & liked it, so it caught my eye that it was part of the process I'm currently undertaking.
I'm hoping the article will explain:
What this means, exactly, "...then back up your computer so you have a personalized recovery CD and you will not have to go through this again. I prefer Nero for creating a bootable drive image:"
What to backup after I've completed the cleanup process as outlined, if a default isn't offered.
If the free (got's to be FREE) Nero Lite will do the backup.
Probably other stuff I should know before attempting also.

    Hi

We did have a massive crash last year and many of the applications where updated and some links sadly still exist to none listed applications that dont exist, and that seems one of them, for backup I would suggest Nero 9, but better still EaseUS ToDo or Macrium reflect Free (EaseUS ToDO is ver close to Acronis True Image in its usage, and one I do like)

Sadly Nero 9 Lite, is only CD/DVD copy software and not the backup applications

I have pinged Tim (MA) to edit the link out, cheers for pointing or highlighting this as we know there are bound to be a few dead links we have missed, too many to check all at once sadly.

Thanks for the reply. I don't know how you guys manage to see & manage every little thing on this great website, but then again, you are major Geeks.
I'll continue to poke around and see if I can find more clues to my challenge.
I really like the idea of getting the unit cleaned up and preserving it.
However, I'm not equal to even one dead skin cell of a geek and the very vague (to me) instructions for backing up the computer are totally useless to me.
My sig from 2003 still stands!
Thanks to all for trying to help.
