My friend's computer has ' 382 ' viruses, but I think the central problem is ' vturq.dll '. I've scanned her computer with Lavasoft Ad-Aware, Spybot: Search & Destroy, TrendMicro OfficeScan, and HiJackThis!. The file says it can't be deleted because it's in use by another program, even when we enter safe mode. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Okay, I followed the directions and here are the vundofix and hijackthis log files ::

    Inline logs attached!

I also see a few problems with the running processes; are there really supposed to be that many ' scvhost ' files running? And I think I see a few suspicious files, but I'm better with Windows ME than XP, so I may be wrong. Thanks for the help.

    Julie Indi,

Please uninstall Microsoft AntiSpyware because it will block these fixes as it did the VundoFix. After you uninstall, run the VundoFix Tool again, attach this log and then see the below thread...

    Look2Me VX2 Removal

Once you complete the above fixes, attach the requested logs and D3m3nt3d will be with your shortly.

Okay, I followed the instructions given but it appears I still have the virus .. the files wouldn't delete. I tried to delete TrendMicro, but it said I needed a password and I have to get one from the computer lab here. I'll post the three logs.

Thank you for the help .. I hope these help.

Okay, I scanned it with SpySweeper but it's still there .. I was continually getting a pop-up from SpySweeper alerting me that ' awtqr.dll ' was trying to install a BHO file that I had just erased with HJT. ._. This thing just doesn't want to go away.

Here are the logs. Thank you.

    Julie Indi,

Your Spy Sweeper definitions for Spy Sweeper are out of date. You must update and run another sweep. As of right now the current definitions are 604.

Download the updated definitions and then run another full sweep. Configure the sweep settings per the thread and then run the sweep. Attach the log after you have ran the sweep and rebooted.
