    im using this guide
    http://arcadecontrols.com/Mirrors/emulatronia/n64pad/index.htm
and ive never done anything like this before and i just have some questions with the wiring.
what is wire with 10 conductors?
and if its what i think it is and just has 10 wires in 1, do i solder all of them to each point, or will i be splitting them apart to wire it?
and if im splitting them apart then can i use any old wire?
i need a lot of help with this and id appreciate any i could get.

If you build the circuit from the schematic then the 10 wires are connections you make from that board to the DB25 connect going to the PC.
It's not a wire with 10 conductors, but any 10 wires you attach there.
Each wire connects a different point to a different pin on the 25 pin connector.
