    my computer keeps turing on by itself

    i have deleted the tasks for it, no viruses

    so what could be doing it?

    is it random or does it do it every time u turn it off? there is a setting that u can change but i cant remember right now where it is....:rolleyes:

    it's ramdom it turns on @ all hours (last night a 2am i got wonken by the buzz of the CPU fan)

    There are settings within your BIOS that allow your computer to come out of sleep, turn itself on. This can be the modem, keyboard, mouse etc. Search your mobo manual (DL if u dont have) and explore this area. If it is your modem do a serious spyware scan:
