Help!!!!!

my computer will not start in normal mode i can only boot into safe mode or safe mode with networking when i try to start my computer normally it freezes at the welcome screen or just before. i have asked for help already but was told to go to the malware forum and i have been told to come back here as its not malware its to do with my software i havent a clue what to do and hopefully i will will find the answers here

 

Have you installed any new software on your computer or updated the OS or other programs recently?
If so, boot into safe mode and undo the updates.
Do you use any backup software? It might be very useful in your difficulty...

 

i havent installed anything new not that i know of.

 

Does the computer normally boot directly into windows (in normal mode)?
Or, does it require you to type in a password. If password, try:

....the following:

Within safe mode, click START, then RUN, then type in:

control userpasswords2 (press enter)

Under "Users for this computer", select the account you normally use.
next, uncheck the box "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer".

Press ok.
Type in the password for that account in both open boxes.
Press OK, then OK again. Reboot.

So we suggested that it may be malware. But chaslang said it wasn't malware related.

Only thing I can say, is to do a full reinstall. Sorry, unless someone else has some ideas. :banghead
