why cant i start a new thread

Hi all,
My daughter has been downloading something and has opened a file that she cannot remember,now my computer is not working correctly on re-booting my avg had been removed and also spybot will not run at all, i have tried to boot in safe mode and that wont work either i have done the 5 things i should do before posting the only thing is that i cannot do windows update i believe that has got infected to. i hopr this is enough info for you if you need anymore i will gladly pass it on.

I have tried to do a format but it wont even let me do that it says i dont have a fixed drive in the machine , any help would be greatly appreciated.

The reason that you couldnt start a new thread was that we don't allow logs that are not attached, some of these logs can go on for pages and in the end are much harder to read than those in the text files, so inline logs they get caught in the filter, until the logs are removed and the post approved.
