Help!!

    My computer won't let me into my email or bank accounts....pretty much any secure websites. I have been on the phone for 3 days with Support Plus with AT&T ang have downloaded 3 different Anti-Spyware programs, changed all of my security settings and restarted my computer probably 50 times and nothing is working. Any suggestions???

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    This may not be a malware problem, but I will give you some steps to follow down below so we can know that for sure. But first let me ask a few questions:

    1. Can you log into your email and bank accounts from another computer?
    2. What browser are you currently using and have you tried a differnet browser?
    3. Does your PC have access to the internet when you boot in safe mode? If yes, have you tried logging into the accounts from safe mode?
    4. When exactly did the problem begin? And had you downloaded or installed anything new on your PC prior to this happening (prior could be a few minutes before or even be a day or so before).
    5. Do you have a firewall? If yes, is it blocking you from getting access (try a temporary disable of the firewall).
    6. Do you use a popup blocker? If yes, try disabling it.
    Here is what you need to do so that we can decide if malware is the cause.

    Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

    Yes I can

    I have FireFOx...and yes I have tried Internet Explorer as well

    3. Does your PC have access to the internet when you boot in safe mode? If yes, have you tried logging into the accounts from safe mode?

    No, my PC has no access to the internet when in Safe Mode, I tried that too!

    4. When exactly did the problem begin? And had you downloaded or installed anything new on your PC prior to this happening (prior could be a few minutes before or even be a day or so before).

    Last Thursday, I have not downloaded any new software recently, like in a couple of months at least.

    5. Do you have a firewall? If yes, is it blocking you from getting access (try a temporary disable of the firewall).

    I do have a firewall and have tried disabling it, still unsuccessful.

    6. Do you use a popup blocker? If yes, try disabling it.

    No pop up blocker.

    I have also ran my virus scans and nothing shows up.
