Help

Hi im brand new to here so glad to be on

But on to the issue i just bought a brand new 320 gb FreeAgent Pro
external hard drive i tried to plug it in but all i got was the add new hardware wizard so i tried it thinking hey it might just work right well i was wrong it says it cant find the driver for it Im using windows xp home at the moment and i cant find out what the issue is ive went everywhere to find a driver for it but i cant and it should be plug and play right

Well any help would be really great right about now im not happy about it one bit

have you rebooted your comp without the external h/d connected? have you tried uninstalling the drive, and reinstalling it? does it show up in device manager ("right click" my computer --> properties --> hardware tab --> then click "device manager". if you have already tried all above and it is in device manager, i'd "right click" your external h/d (screenshot below - but mine was a thumbdrive), and "uninstall". you might have to reboot, and try again. let us know what happens, or if you already fixed it. g/l, sos
