Help

I have a laptop that is running XP, I went on vacation took it with me and it was working fine (for being 4 years old), after the windows logo pops up the screen goes blank, now I can go into safe mode but not regular windows.

 

Try system restore in safe mode in go to>>

start\all programs \ accessories \ system tools \ system restore

Restore to a date when your Lappy worked fine. If this works then we can help you further, because in safe mode you will be unable to "create" a restore point.

 

I am going through the restore now... I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before and if they know what it is? this is the second computer I have delt with unfortunatly for the first one, safe mode would not boot so I had to rebuild. Does anyone have a list of the start up files... i need to go through the entire computer and look for dangerous files...

 

system restore did not work, still pulling up a black screen

 

i got windows up, but now it looks off and my windows defender will not load along with some other things.... this comp is completely off the map...

 

ok, so nothing is working properly, in normal windows it looks like safe mode... I look through the services and everything is disabled, but will not let me enable it...

 

I think it may have been already on the comp some how... I did not really get online that much... Actually I only got on once, to run an update on my iphone and to send an email.
