OK. I did your Read and Run me First. I've used it before with my sisters computer and had no problems. But for some reason it's not wanting to work this time. When I did it about 6 months ago I couldn't download directly onto my sister's computer, so I downloaded onto my external hard drive and then installed them. I ran into the same problem this time with mine. So, I just used what was saved on the hard drive from last time, without re-downloading anything. I'm starting to wonder if that might be part of the problem. Anyway, I installed everything, except Spybot. It wouldn't let me finish the installation process. Also, I couldn't update anything. So, I just ran through the steps as I could and without updates, thinking it would at least do something. It did find A LOT, but I'm still having problems. My web browser keeps getting redirected or won't load certain pages. I can't even get to this site from my own computer. I still have pop ups. And, what tipped me off in the first place, are two icons on my desktop. They're shortcuts to porn sites, I think. I haven't actually used them. Previously however, I kept getting a warning about viruses and a program that wanted to scan. That is no longer there. There also seems to be a problem when I start up windows. I get an error message that says it couldn't find C:\WINDOWS\system32\gosofuwu.dll Also get a an error when I try to load norton antivirus. It can't load savrt32.dll I think these might be from the cleaning process and not viruses. Any help would be great right now. Here are my logs. Thanks!

If you haven't already, please disable the Guest account in User accounts.

Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
NOTE: HJT may popup an error about the AppInit_DLLs line. Ignore it and click OK to continue.

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Now download The Avenger by Swandog469, and save it to your Desktop.

    * Extract avenger.exe from the Zip file and save it to your desktop
    * Run avenger.exe by double-clicking on it.
    * Do not change any check box options!!
    * Copy everything in the Quote box below, and paste it into the Input script here: part of the window:

    * Now click the Execute button.
    * Click Yes to the prompt to confirm you want to execute.
    * Click Yes to the Reboot now? question that will appear when Avenger finishes running.
    * Your PC should reboot, if not, reboot it yourself.
    * A log file from Avenger will be produced at C:\avenger.txt and it will popup for you to view when you login after reboot.

Also delete all files in the below folders except ones from the current date (Windows will not let you delete the files from the current day).
    C:\WINDOWS\Temp
    C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Temp

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this and also attach the log from Avenger.

Be sure to tell us how things are running.

It seems to be running a lot better. I am still getting an error message when windows loads.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\gosofuwu.dll
I don't know what this is or if it's important. Other than that it seems like it's working now. Thanks!

Actually, the error message I get says it can't find
    C:\windows\system32\kezulape.dll

Not what I posted just previously. I just assumed it was the same error message from before.

You have managed to get further infected.

There are two url shortcuts on your desktop that may be the cause of your problems.

Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following ( be sure to re-enable when we are finished):

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.

You are now running without anti-virus protection!

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it. (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). * Your PC should reboot, if not, reboot it yourself.
    * A log file from Avenger will be produced at C:\avenger.txt and it will popup for you to view when you login after reboot.

    Now install an AV program!!

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this and also attach the log from Avenger.

Be sure to tell us how things are running.

OK. So before I got your last post I actually re-ran the read and run me first post. I was able to do all of it without a problem. Then I installed Avast. So, I have an AV program now. :) Here are the logs from that process.

Here's the last log from the run and run me first post. After I finished that I did what you suggested. When I ran Avenger I couldn't find any of the lines you recommended. I'm hoping that means that all that scanning I did actually helped. I also attached the logs that you requested. It seems to be running tons better. If it all looks OK my next question is how to uninstall all the extra stuff that's now on my computer.

Sweet...your logs are clean...now keep it that way!!! :-D

Run this: Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

    1. We recommed you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no real time protection. They are useful as backup scanners. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.

      • Delete the C:\combofix folder from combofix (if it exists)

    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    7. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
