Help!

Was doing a search for insurance co. that i needed a phone number to and clicked a bad site that infected me. AVG free detected it immediately. It was up to date. I could not get rid of it.

The file AVG detected was amd64si.sys Best i can tell it came in through Adobe Acrobat reader or something because that is what immediately opened when i went to the wrong site.

I am now plagued with a weird desktop and messages this program is telling me I am infected.

I disconnected from the network to not let it talk to whomever it wants. I started your tutorial but cannot install or run almost anything. I tried to install SAS and it will not let me. I renamed it and all. I tried to go to the control panel to look for bad programs and it will not let me go.

After about 15 minutes the malware crashes the comp with blue screen.

Any ideas? I have a second comp that I am using to communicate and download things. AVG has been disabled by the program and little else runs.

it will not allow me to open anything in the OS. i cannot move, copy, delete, open the explorer, start any programs, etc. kinda dead in the water at the moment.
I am gonig to check into running in safe mode to see if i can do something there.
