Help!!!!!!

Ok somehow I lost the ability to right click and choose create new text document......new text document is not an option how do i add it back?

Windows 2000
No i did not take it out with a tweak program

Have you done anythin on your computer lately that might cause this? You have a screen shot? Do you have Windows Update running? What might ahve caused this? Have you tried rebooting?

 

Installed Geoshell and uninstalled it......I have rebooted I did run windows update today but have rebooted since then. All that is missing is whenever you right click on the desktop and choose new and a menu pops out with

Folder
Shortcut
Briefcase
Microsoft Word Document
New Text Document<<<<THIS IS MISSING

 

I'm guessing C:\WINNT\NOTEPAD.EXE still exists?

 

Yes it is still available

 

Word... Hm, I don't know, I'm not too much of a Windows expert..

Download Tweak UI

Download HERE!

It is part of Microsoft's Powertoys

Once installed go to the templates panel and you can add or delete right click stuff from there

Thanks for all the replies guys I found out that the Jedi Database program had taken over the file association and it renamed it i re-associated and now it works great.
