I am sorry, I don't understand what you are asking me. Can you get to the file association fix? Did you run it in either normal or safe mode? Then have you clicked on the link to the instructions to follow in the Read and Run first thread?

No, you click on the blue link within that page that says Exe file association fix. It will be a zipped file, extract it to your desktop and double click it to have it merge with your registry.

The other link will take you to our procedures for removing Malware. Those instructions are quite easily followed.

    Is it on your desktop?

    Try this:

Go to start / run / type:
sfc /scannow ( note the space after the c and before the / )

Have your xp disc handy as it may ask for it.

What is an "abs" version? Do you not have an xp disc for this computer? Do you have a recovery disc for this computer? It may be easiest for you to use the recovery disc and do a repair installation.

Ok, I see from your first post that you do not have an xp disc. This will make if almost impossible to fix your system without it. If you have a friend with that exact same version of xp, you can use that. But is may be that you removed important files and that is why you are having issues.
