help!!!

hi people, am looknig for abit of help, my home page has changed to security central saying virus detected and a small icon flashes at the bottom right hand corner of the screen saying my computer is infected. i have tried the thread chaslang posted that i used, ad aware se, ccleaner, microsoft windows antispyware and spybot search and destroy but am still haveing the same problems.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

hi there, thanks bjgarrick used the programes u instructed and sill have the problem, when i open my internet explorer, action cancelled comes up and it imediatley changes to security centre page saying spyware detected and W32.Sinnaka.A@mm is collecting my information. i have used the thread " read and run me first"

 

Please make sure System Restore is OFF and the Viewing of Hidden Files & Folders is Enabled as per the tutorial.

Download the following two files, create a folder on your desktop, call it TSC. Save these 2 files there!

Sysclean Package

Pattern.zip

Once you have these downloaded into the folder you just created, REBOOT INTO SAFE MODE!

Once in Safe Mode double click the file sysclean.com. When the system cleaner loads, click SCAN to start the scanner. After you complete the scan reboot and attach a fresh HJT log.

 

hi bjgarrick, when trying to downlaod the pattern.zip, it comes up the page you are trying to access is being blocked by the adware that u have on your computer download spytrooper to fix it. when i go to turn off system restore, i right click on my computer and then select properties, but there is no performance tab or system file to click.

 

Please download HOSTER and then follow the below steps.

• Unzip HOSTER to a convenient folder such as C:\Hoster

• Run Hoster.exe, click Restore Original Hosts and then click OK.

• Click the X to exit the program.

Now, please download Spy Sweeper

• Click the link above to download the program.
• Install it. Once the program is installed, it will open.
• It will prompt you to update to the latest definitions, click Yes.
• Once the definitions are installed, click Options on the left side.
• Click the Sweep Options tab.
• Under What to Sweep please put a check next to the following:
  
  • Sweep Memory
  • Sweep Registry
  • Sweep Cookies
  • Sweep All User Accounts
  • Enable Direct Disk Sweeping
  • Sweep Contents of Compressed Files
  • Sweep for Rootkits
  • Please UNCHECK Do not Sweep System Restore Folder.
• Click Sweep Now on the left side.
• Click the Start button.
• When it's done scanning, click the Next button.
• Make sure everything has a check next to it, then click the Next button.
• It will remove all of the items found.
• Click Session Log in the upper right corner, copy everything in that window.
• Click the Summary tab and click Finish.
• Paste the contents of the session log you copied into notepad and save it as spysweeper.txt and attach it to your next post along with a fresh HJT log.

hi, downloaded spy sweeper couple of days ago and used it, stilll haveing the problems and my trial for spy sweeper is finished.

 

Just download and install this newest version, get the latest updates (576) and run a full sweep. Afterwards attach that log with a fresh HJT log.
