Help!!

My computer is going wacky. all of a sudden there was a whole bunch of quick launches then i noticed when i minimized, the window wasnt showing on the taskbar. then i played around trying to make it work. I right clicked on the taskbar and unclicked the quick tasks to get rid of them. Now i dont have a taskbar!!!!HELP!!!

 

Do you have a taskbar if you hover the cursor near the bottom?

Do you have System Restore you can use?

 

no taskbar when i hover. I logged off and went in safe mode and did a virus scan too. i went into control panel from my computer put the quicktasks back on. i now have a taskbar but when i minimize the window diappears with nothing on the taskbar.

 

Try going to the link below, scroll down to #240 on the left-hand side (Programs Aren't Minimized in the Taskbar) and run it.

To use the VBS Files: Download .vbs file and save it to your hard drive (you may want to right click and use Save Target As). Double
click the vbs file. You will be prompted when the script is done.

Thank you so much! it worked!! that was weird how would that have happened?

 

If you haven't changed or added anything recently I would run some more virus scans. Use some of the ones listed in the Spyware forum and see if they find anything.
