So I have the problem where the Common folder pops up with the files helper.dll and helper.sig when I log on to my computer. I've followed most of the other threads, installed all of the spyware/malware removal programs. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time and since my computer is slow, doing this takes up a lot of that time. I've done the SUPERspyware, Spybot ( which I had installed before), and Malbytes sweeps, and they all got rid of things that weren't what I needed to get rid of. I've been keeping logs, but I've started to read the combofix instructions and that takes a lot of effort. Is there any possible way to get rid of this without having to do all of the steps?

    Thank you!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Without the logs from the steps, we cannot workup a procedure to fix your problems. You could have other problems in addition to what you mentioned. If you have simply tried deleting the files and the folder and it did not work then we need our steps to be followed so we can create a proper and complete fix.

Why haven't you attached at least the logs from SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes if you have already run them? Those are actually the scans that take the longest. The ComboFix and MGtools scans are much faster.

Could I really just delete the file? I thought I read earlier somewhere that it's important to keep because of your keyboard.

If it is that malware file that is suspected then it is not for your keyboard. However if you do not want to run our cleaning procedures so that we can check for malware then I suggest that you look elsewhere for help. We are too busy here to keep having a discussion about this. So if you want help, run our procedures and attach the requested logs.
