I am finally able to post this message after hours of reading forums. This was due to the fact that this computer was always redirected to 127.0.0.1.
There was an expired version of Norton on it, as it wasn't connected to the internet until recently. I uninstalled norton and installed Mcafee and the vundo virus/trojan popped up. After running pestpatrol, spybot, adwareSE, it finally started to run not bad, but I kept getting redirected to other sites. I was unable to reach this website as well, but had an older ver of hijackthis on a disk. This is possibly where I went wrong and ran it without Knowing about the special install procedures. At last I was able to get the instructions on what to do first before posting. I hope I was successful and would appreciate it if someone could check over the attached files.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Uninstall the below old versions of software:
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.1_02
Make sure you reboot after uninstalling the above!

After reboot, now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

Also uninstall the Sunbelt CounterSpy trial since we are finished with it now! Then delete the below two folders which may be left behind by the uninstall:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sunbelt Software
    C:\Program Files\Sunbelt Software

Continue by downloading a tool we will need - Pocket KillBox

Save it to its own folder somewhere that you will be able to locate it later.

Run HijackThis and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] rem "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Now run Pocket Killbox by doubleclicking on killbox.exe
    • select File, Cleanup, Delete All Backups
    • Choose Tools > Delete Temp Files and click Delete Selected Temp Files.
    • Then after it deletes the files click the Exit (Save Settings) button.
NOTE: Pocket Killbox will only list the added files it is able to find on the system. So when you do the below, if some files do not show in the list after pasting them in, just continue.

    Select:
    • Delete on Reboot
    • then Click on the All Files button.
    • Please copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

    C:\WINDOWS\ua2.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\dlkbbmri.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\haeyjypc.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\vasjufrf.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\xscevher.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ehhkj.bak2
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\fhhkj.bak1
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ijkkj.bak1
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\pqtss.bak1
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\yycdd.bak1
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\1.tmp
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\2.tmp
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\3.tmp
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\4.tmp
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\6.tmp
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\9.tmp
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\A.tmp
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\B.tmp
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\C.tmp
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\D.tmp

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\cdeeg.ini
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ehhkj.ini2
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\fhhkj.ini
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\npqss.ini"
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ojvcfwem.ini
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\oqstv.ini
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\pqtss.ini
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\rqtss.ini
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\yycdd.ini
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.20070405-090909.backup
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.20070405-090910.backup
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.20070405-213713.backup
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hostsbackup.txt
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hostsold
    • Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.
    • Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt.
If you receive a PendingFileRenameOperations prompt, just click OK to continue (But please let me know if you receive this message!).

If Killbox does not reboot just reboot your PC yourself.

    Now run Ccleaner!

Now attach the below new logs and tell me how the above steps went.

    1. GetRunKey
    2. ShowNew
    3. HJT
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

I am very thankful for the Quick reply. I didn't receive a PendingFileRenameOperations prompt, and the computer restarted without me having to do it. Your instructions were to the T. Here are the new logs.
Also what spyware tools should I leave on this computer? So far the computer seems to be running alot better , but I will let you know more in the AM.

Okay you are basically clean. Just delete the following file.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\npqss.ini

That depends on what you purchased. Are Pest Patrol and McAfee paid versions that your friend will be able to get continuous updates for?

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. If we used Pocket Killbox during your cleanup, do the below
      • Run Pocket Killbox and select File, Cleanup, Delete All Backups
    2. If we used ComboFix you can delete the ComboFix.exe file and associated C:\combofix.txt log that was created.
    3. If we user SDFix you can delete all the SDFix related files and folders from your Desktop or whereever you installed it.
    4. If we used VundoFix, you can delete the VundoFix.exe file and the C:\VundoFix Backups folder and C:\vundofix.txt log that was created.
    5. If we had your run FixWareOut, you can delete the Fixwareout.exe file and the C:\fixwareout folder.
    6. If we had you run Avenger, you can delete all files related to Avenger now.
    7. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    8. You can delete the ShowNew.Zip and GetRunkey.Zip files and the files that you extracted from the ZIP files. You can also delete the C:\newfiles.txt and C:\runkeys.txt logs that were created
    9. If you are running Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • go back to step 8 of the READ & RUN ME to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    10. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

This computer seems to be running just fine now. I did the removal instructions, system restore flush, then updated the drivers. At last, the two bonks on startup (probably HP disabled programs) are my only minor concerns.
I believe my friend will be quite happy with her computer when she gets it back. All said, is there a fee or donation required? Let me know, as I have always been able to solve most of my problems by refering to this site. But, this being the first time asking for your help, which was greatly appreciated.
    Thanks a MILLION!!!

    Something strange just happened, when i went back to check my last reply, I recieved this error message;

vBulletin datastore error caused by one or more of the following:

    1. You may have uploaded vBulletin 3.6 files without also running the vBulletin upgrade script. If you have not run the upgrade script, do so now.
    2. The datastore cache may have been corrupted. Run Rebuild Bitfields from tools.php, which you can upload from the do_not_upload folder of the vBulletin package.

Fatal error: vBulletin datastore cache incomplete or corrupt in /includes/init.php on line 210

Cleared internet explorers cashe and I was back in bussines. Is this something else(bug) causing this?
