    Those shopping sites tend use session ids that only last a certain lenght of time before they become timed out, a way of tracking in a small period of time what your looking at.

    I'm now curious to what you have aquaired..... the suspense is killing me!!! :D

    LOL G.T. ...how true. It already kept me up it's first night it was home!

    I'm kinda chuffed that you guys think I got a good deal. Not bad for a half-geek then ;) It seemed crazy not to spend the extra few bucks and only have a 512mb DDR and 60GB drive

    The link seems to work fine this end...maybe you guys need to get yourself a decent laptop for surfing ;) Hehe

    Just a thought....the laptop came with some software called BigFix...never heard of it.....is it worth keeping? (I see you can download it from MGs too) Would be interested in your opinions guys :)

    I dunno what 'BigFix' is, Lev, But you got a good deal on the new "baby".;) Yep a $1K buys a fair bit of computing power, nowadays.

    Not yet Lev this puppy will give a few years of service to me as its an AMD64 3500+ with 1gb Ram, 100GB HD ;)

    BIGFIX, yes I have heard of it, its been around a long time, worth keeping it well thats upto you but it does no harm http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=677 alerts you to updates etc, but if you as I know do these types of updates already manually then may not be worth the space/CPU time or an added running process.

    Nice lappy Lev! I really miss mine even though it didn't come close to measuring up to the one you have. Would like to get one in the next year or so when I'm not feeling up to sitting at the puter I can still be on the puter...ya know?:D

    I hear ya Abby...and thinking this one will also help me stay less bored in my early post-op days later this month, when sitting up will be no fun.

    Psssssttt @ Star....birthday present hint over here ;) lol

    @Halo...thanks for the heads up on BigFix. You're right..I do update manually, but might try this out a few times and see if I like it :)

    It's a nice feeling knowing that you have an up to date computer (if there is such a thing!!!!).

    When I had my back surgery...the laptop I had at the time was the only thing that kept me sane!!!!
