Heres a good one for you

I noticed that our laptop was running slower than usual... and I opened windows task manager to see if something was updating...
I noticed an image name under processes which I had never seen before... curiously I typed it into search on the net:
Not much that I could understand came back, so I went to www.microsoft.com and typed it in and there were four hits... each asking on the forum what this was... one indicating something to do with Silverlight, somehow linking it to malware?
Believe it or not, I did not write it down, but it was:
apca.exe, or acpa.exe, something similiar...
WTF mates... now when I go on and search for it, I can't find anything... am I losing my mind????

 

Thanks Tim... I think acpa is all that showed... and I can't find it anywhere and I haven't seen it run since...
I think the most interesting point is, when I first saw it, I did an online search and found info on the web and microsoft support too... but now, none of it comes up...
Seems curious it was there and now it is gone...
I did find info regarding a 'generic9.apca' and I have searched the appropriate places suggested in programs and the registry without find it...
Possibly MSE deleted it...
I did see a history in MSE of a trojan which was deleted, but it didn't mention a specific name...
Anyway... thanks for the suggestions... I appreciate your time..
