    I'm positive every country in one form or another has databases with every citizens details on and they are pro actively involved in capturing more data.

    In the UK the data in private conversations cannot be used as evidence in court unless the charges are extremely serious, they make a big deal about this but they never mention what information they use to further a case, to get leads.

    I know in the US the IRS can read your email without a warrant, they assume you have no reasonable expectation of privacy if your email is stored on a third party server.

    Totally a breach of privacy in my opinion and should be stopped.

    EDIT Moreover if the NSA are using data decryption techniques to beat encryption on US citizens accounts they are committing a crime, IMO. I'm a firm believer that any black hat stuff like this should not be used on the citizens of the country, they should only be used to catch terrorists or defend the country and each case should have a court warrant.
