Well, I believe it's more M.G.'s Birthday itself, (the 1st of the 1st) - not Jim's. We always get a few 'Happy Birthday C.P.' threads from the unwary.

 

I fell for that a few years ago myself. :-D

The reason you see so many birthdays for 1 January is if you don't enter a "real" birthday when signing up it defaults you to 1 January as your "birthday". I'm sure it has many people thinking there was an unusually high amount of whoopee on this date/year nine months previously. :-D
