As a past collector of comics and a Sci-Fi fan.... The trailer got me excited, till I seen the Hulk in CGI. It didn't look any better than the last one. Story, Acting and choice of actors looked promising but after that last crappy Hulk movie. I'll wait for it to come to TV.

I have to say, the last Hulk was quite bad, but Edward Norton has already made this a must see (for me atleast). He has done some not so good movies, but for the most part his acting is on par.

 

and what movies has Norton done that have been "not so good"?

 

The one with the pink dinosaur, with Robin Williams. If you say that was a good movie you might have some problems. Death to Smoochy, I thought I might of died while watching it.

and in comparison to alot of the crap that comes out nowadays, its actually a pretty decent flick. id say you should give it another chance. And watch the real movie, not when its on TV, its ALOT more entertaining. I mean, its a good satire on the "underground world of child entertainment" lol.

 

Well, not being a huge fan of Robin Williams made the movie just a bit harder to watch. I'll give it a chance though, but lets keep this conversation on track. Im pretty excited about the new Hulk, and the big guy he is fighting looks pretty hardcore.

Hmmm...this looks MUCH better than that first Hulk movie! I'll have to check this one!

 

Again they've gone complete CGI and it looks rubbish IMO,I think they should have used more costume and effects to make it look real and not cartoonish which won't bother alot of the people who watch it because they liked the cartoon and comic but this is a movie and should be made to look as realistic as possible.

It can be done, if you look at the costumes,makeup and effects used in hellboy with Ron pearlman as Hellboy and Fantastic Four with Micheal Chiklis as Ben Grimm they did a great job in both instances of creating tangible creature that looked like it was part of the scene using CGI to mostly solve the physics problems.

I kinda liked some of the scenes in the first one but it got too crazy too fast and avalanched into an insane apocalyptic climax which I thought was a bit stupid and I stopped caring what was going to happen,I expect more of the same with this one so I'm not that excited I'm also quite surprised Edward Norton Signed his name to it TBH.

Sorry Fans I wish I had more positive points to add,I have got a long standing issue with the overuse of CGI so I do have a little agenda.

 

Good point Ricky, the did a great job with the Hellboy character and his costume.

 

it's tough to make monster-type comic book characters look good with CGI. beast, hulk, and the thing all looked ridiculous. i trust ed norton more than ang lee, so i'm looking forward to this.

 

I have to admit the 1st movie did need a redo. I did not like where it was going at all.
