hey guys!! Memory question here

    I have a gig of memory. When I look on the cmos and also the start up,

    it says 522240k. I thought a gig of memory said something like 104568k or something. Is this correct?

    I just put the other stick in right next to my current 512mb.

    Is everythint correct?

    Right Click my computer under properties and me registration it still says

    512 mb.

    I figured it out. I had the memory sticks side by side which I thought is what was right. When I took it out then left DIMM2 blank and put the stick in DIMM3, it recgonizes 1gb memory now under properties.

    I thought you can stick the two side by side but guess not.
