hey need a reccomondation on a free firewall that will get the job done and an antivirus program that will get the job done. thanks alot

I'm using Comodo firewall and like it well. I was using ZA but had a problem blocking internet access after exiting and then attempting reentry a while later.

 

My choices are Avast and Sygate!

Comodo AV and Firewall are both free and easy to use and very effective. And they're from the same company which is always good. I personally run AntiVir7 and Sygate Firewall on my home PC. A friend runs AVG and Jetico firewall and he likes 'em both. I also do periodic scans with a-squared, RemoveIT Pro, and SuperAntiSpyware. I also run Arovax Shield and Browser Hijack Retaliator for that extra layer of protection....
