The file hh.exe is part of Microsoft Windows Help. Lets start with general cleanup procedures.

First, please follow ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

After doing ALL of the above if you still have a problem:

    http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Download HijackThis 1.99.1

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the ZIP file as your backups will not be safely stored.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gifBefore running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gifRun HijackThis and save your log file.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next post. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post as it will be removed).

Thats a pretty bad looking log, you have multiple issues. One of the main is the about:blank hijacker.

Lets take things one at a time. We will start by running SpSeHjfix109.

    Download this file: SpSeHjfix109

Unzip it to your desktop or to a folder.

    Boot into Safe Mode

Start SpSeHjfix, click on " Desinfecton starten" (the other button means close) then it will reboot and finish the cleaning.

    Run SpSeHjfix one more time.

    Reboot in Normal mode.

Run HijackThis again and post a new log. Also post the log from SpSeHjfix, the log should be on your desktop or the same folder as SpSeHjfix.

Your Operating System is WAY out of date and represents a major security risk. After we fix your current problems, you must get updated. You need to install Service Pack 2 for security purposes.

Please look in Add or Remove Programs for the following and Uninstall them if found:

    MereSurfer 2005 Free

Please boot into Safe Mode with the Viewing of Hidden Files & Folders Enabled

Now scan with HijackThis and Check the Boxes for the following:

Make sure All Browser Windows are Closed when you Click FIX.

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = res://C:\WINDOWS\plzvv.dll/sp.html#55135
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = res://C:\WINDOWS\plzvv.dll/sp.html#55135
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = about:blank
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = res://C:\WINDOWS\plzvv.dll/sp.html#55135

Again, make sure All Browser Windows are Closed when you Click FIX.

    NEXT:
Run HJT again, but instead of scanning, click on the "None of the above, just start the program" button at the bottom of the choices. At the lower right, click on the 'Config" button, and then the Misc tools' button ... select 'Delete an NT Service" ... copy/paste the following into the box that opens, and press "OK":

Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Helper ( 11Fßä#·ºÄÖ`I)

If the above doesnt work, try something smaller like the below.

    ( 11Fßä#·ºÄÖ`I)
(Copy and Paste this as its difficult to type the characters)

    NOW:
Navigate to and DELETE the following if they should remain:

    C:\WINDOWS\ienb.dll

p2pnetwork.exe <-- Search for this file and delete when found!

Note: Dont forget to update Spybot S&D by selecting "Search For Updates"

Then, as an added precaution, Go to Start > Run and type: cleanmgr and then click OK. Make sure the boxes for these are checked:
    Temporary Files

    And Click OK.

    Reboot to Normal Windows

    FINAL STEP

Reset Web Settings & Default Security Settings:

Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Okay, I blame myself for this because I didnt tell you, after posting your HJT log you MUST NOT REBOOT! Rebooting causes this hijacker to mutate as a different file name and means everything I post for you as a fix is no good.

    Lets stop the service FIRST:
Click Start > Run > type services.msc and Click OK

Locate Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Helper ( 11Fßä#·ºÄÖ`I) and RightClick on it to bring up the Service Properties Window.
First: Stop the service by clicking the Stop Button.
Next: Disable it by changing the Startup Type to Disabled and click Apply

Now scan with HijackThis and Check the Boxes for the following:

Make sure All Browser Windows are Closed when you Click FIX.

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = res://C:\WINDOWS\hancr.dll/sp.html#55135
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.yahoo.com/
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = res://C:\WINDOWS\hancr.dll/sp.html#55135
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = res://C:\WINDOWS\hancr.dll/sp.html#55135

    O23 - Service: Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Helper ( 11Fßä#·ºÄÖ`I) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\iehw.exe (file missing)
O23 - Service: WMI Performance Adapter (WmiApSrv) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\System32\wbem\wmiapsrv.exe (file missing)

Again, make sure All Browser Windows are Closed when you Click FIX.

    NOW:
Please boot into Safe Mode with the Viewing of Hidden Files & Folders Enabled

Click Start > Run > type in the following:

    regsvr32 /u C:\WINDOWS\hancr.dll

Click OK if it comes up!

    NOW:
Navigate to and DELETE the following file:

    C:\WINDOWS\hancr.dll

    NEXT:
    Run CCleaner

Then, as an added precaution, Go to Start > Run and type: cleanmgr and then click OK. Make sure the boxes for these are checked:
    Temporary Files
    Temporary Internet Files
    Recycle Bin

    And Click OK.

Reboot to Normal Windows , Scan with HijackThis and attach the new log.
Let me know of any problems you may have encountered with the above instructions and also let me know how things are running now.
