Hi all I have a problem...

I understand that this isn't really the place for anything other that relaxing but Im not sure where to put this. So here I am.

I have a problem with my computer atm. It puts in links to words in my text messages on two different forums atm and links them to places like ebay and what not. It's pretty annoying- well let me correct that- its very annoying- and slows down my computer quite a bit.

I dl'd a screen saver of a bikini model the other day and that is where my problems started. I tried to back out of it but it seems to have not worked. There was a bit that I removed that kept coming up 180 search help or something like that. And I think I have managed to get rid of it entirely. But I stll get these strange quote things on threads that I post in. For instance I made a reference to the starwars and it linked that word to ebay poducts and had two bars underneath the link.

Im not sure what is going on other than I have some artwork I dont want to lose on my hd otherwise I would try and wipe it clean with a new install.

Really annoyed at this poiint. Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

Ive got sophos, spybot search and destroy, windows xp firewall, ad aware, and a few others but the problem consists.

As for other forums, check to see if they're doing specific pop advertising. It sounds to me like that's what's going on, not something with your computer. What that does is create links on certain words, that if you click will take you (supposedly) to a site related to the word.

Although it can't hurt to run spyware, adware, and virus scans just to be sure.

If you feel you must reformat, can't you save your artwork to a CD first?
