    Hi,

I have recently had a fairly large problem with my pc all ican say is that after 5 minuets of being turned on it will completly freze and there will be no procesing of any kind from the pc. I have tried virus scans but they cant finish, also tried system restores but again they are not able to complte as it all stops and freezes, then there is nothing just a loading screen stuck in the same position. I tried the radical with a full system wipe by trying to install window 7 earlier today but again the system frooze and nothing.

If anyone could help with any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated, I do need my pc having to use a friends at the moment for work.

    Thanks Alli.

Welcome, did this start suddenly or did it creep up to this stage? First thing I would check is heat using a monitor like G15 SpeedFan to check your temperatures. If they get hot quickly then open up the case and blow the dust out.

Are the fans running as far as you can tell?

One other thing is was this built by you or done elsewhere, like off the shelf?

Can you get in through safe mode?

A little information about your machine wouldn't hurt.
    How much RAM?
What programs are on your Startup list?

    Almost forgot.

@hrlow2 and @zDawg32 and @augiedoggie: Please re-read the first post:

This would indicate that the OS has been wiped from the PC.

@alli2106: as hrlow2 and augiedoggie asked, what are the hardware specifications of your computer? How old is it? Was it purchased from a computer store or was it custom built?

If you take the side panel off the case and then start the computer up are all the fans you can see inside spinning? Is the computer very dusty inside?
