My brother has been using my computer lately and has been checking out porno sites, can someone tell me if there is a free registry cleaner here? That I can use to clean my registry? Your help is appreciated:)
    Thank you in advance:)

    Hi again, Tiffany

    I use CCleaner ( http://www.majorgeeks.com/CCleaner_Slim_No_Yahoo_Toolbar_English_d4191.html )

for most of my general system/registry cleaner needs . . . there are also others listed here at MG. You might want to check out this sticky http://www.majorgeeks.com/page.php?id=20 for some more ideas, because it sounds like you might need some mal-ware cleaners as well - I use Ad-Aware and Spy-bot Search and Destroy for finding and deleting Ad / mal / spy-ware nasties. Run these and then run CCleaner afterwards (if you choose to use them).

There are more good freeware cleaners out there - I'm sure some of the members here are can recommend some they are familier with!

    Hope this helps! :)

sounds as if the problem is your search engine.
Try to change your search engine. This may take a little work, and I am not
    that good.

There are many good, free reg cleaners available here at 'the Geeks'. Check out Wise Registry Cleaner: easy to use and marks items found as safe or not safe/unknown. Also try Advanced Windows Care XP: not only has a reg cleaner but also a spyware/hijack scan, and several other good features. So, in addition to CCleaner (which is GREAT and I use it regularly), you do have other FREE options. Check the registry section for more free downloads.
