Hi Everyone! Google Chrome question

Hi all, glad to be here!

I have a Google Chrome issue... A couple/few times a day I get a warning that Chrome is using High Memory... It has a tendency to lag and shockwave crashes regularly... I have to reboot around once to twice a day... I know about the internal Shockwave in Chrome so I disabled the external version... Yet it still has crash issues...

My version is 43.0.2357.52 beta-m (64-bit).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

 

Oh I didn't realize I was using a beta version.. I wonder why Chrome update to that... Interesting.. Thanks, I will try a stable version.

 

I posted on the Google Chrome forum about the issue. Hopefully they'll give me some idea what to do.

 

Trying to find the most recent stable version but when I go to google.com/chrome it prompts me to install but it doesn't tell me the version. I need 64 bit. Any ideas?

OK I switched to Version 43.0.2357.52 m (64-bit). Hopefully that does the trick. Do I need to go back and switch off one of the Shockwave's again or did that carry over?

FYI, as soon as I installed and launched the new version I got the High Disk Usage warning but it quickly went away.

 

If you are using Google Chrome for flash player it is now disabled from version 43 you need to type Chrome://flags and ctrl + f to open the find box then type Npapi and enable that it will activate flash again.

to keep your memory usage down I would suggest in downloading from chrome store the great suspender it will deactivate tabs after a short while and frees up memory.
