Hi, I am new here and a Question

Hi,

I posted this in the Software section of the forum and it was recommended that I move the post to this section. Thank you for making this forum available and thanks to those who help people who are having problems.

I have a question that I hope someone can answer. I've searched on my own to no avail.

I was going through a list of start up services (unnecessary programs) that take up CPU that can (safely) be disabled from the command MSCONFIG (System Configuration Utility) and there is a program listed on my start up items listed simply as "1." I have disabled it, and it's had no effect. However, I want to identify exactly what this is and if it's something that shouldn't be on my machine, I want it off. My system as far as I know at this point is clean of any kind of malware. I would just like to know what this is. It doesn't seem to match with anything I have running. I am using Windows XP.

I wanted to add that I have done many scans already, and I'm not wanting to take up anyone's time. I just want to know if anyone here can identify what this program is.
