Uninstall the below old versions of software:
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6

Make sure viewing of hidden files is enabled (per the tutorial).

Run HijackThis and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,Default_Search_URL = http://www.searchv.com/5/search.html
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {1DAEFCB9-06C8-47c6-8F20-3FB54B244DAA} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\tggejaxm.dll (file missing)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C3061094-02C9-4D25-89A7-AF54706E779F} - C:\WINDOWS\java\classes\mxlpi.dll (file missing)
    O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} - http://207.188.7.150/285dece40c97e2bf6b16/netzip/RdxIE601.cab.cab
    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.
Boot into safe mode and use Windows Explorer to delete:
    C:\WINDOWS\country.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\lqwgobne.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\impborl.dll
    c:\windows\uniq <--- the whole folder
C:\VundoFix Backups <--- the whole folder

Now we need to Reset Web Settings:
    1. If you have an Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop, goto step 2. If not, skip to step 3.
    2. Now right click on your desktop Internet Explorer icon and select Properties. Then click the Programs tab and then click "Reset Web Settings". Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Click Delete Cookies, Click Delete Files and select Delete all Offline content too, Click OK. When it finishes Click OK. Then skip step 3.
    3. If you do not have an Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop, click Start, Control Panel (for some systems it may be Start, Settings, Control Panel), Internet Options, Programs tab and then click "Reset Web Settings". Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Click Delete Cookies, Click Delete Files and select Delete all Offline content too, Click OK. When it finishes Click OK.
Note for IE 7 users: You need to select Internet Options then the Advanced tab and then Reset Internet Explorer Settings!

    Now reboot into Normal Mode

Now delete all files in the below folders except ones from the current date (Windows will not let you delete the files from the current day).
    C:\WINDOWS\Temp
    C:\Documents and Settings\Tara\Local Settings\Temp

    Now run Ccleaner

Now attach the below new logs and tell me how the above steps went.

    1. ShowNew
    2. HJT
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

Reminder Note: Once we have determined you are malware free you will need to disable System Restore, reboot, and re-enable system restore per step 1 of the READ & RUN ME. This only applies to if using WinXP or WinMe.

Hey, thanks for getting back so quick. I've learned so much about computers from you site. So I did everything to a T that you said. The only problem is every time I click control panel : C:\WINDOWS\System32\LCamCpl.dll wasn't found and Invalid access to memory location.

    All files were deleted

So I'm not quite sure now, so here's the new Logs and thanks!!!!!!!!:)

This has nothing to do with what we are doing. That is a file for your Logitech QuickCam. You will need to get a copy back into the system32 folder. You can get a copy on line here: http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/L/LCamCpl.dll/8.2.0.11928/download.html

Or you can reinstall the software.

    How are things working now?

Hi so far no pop ups or freezes and I think the internet is running faster than ever. YEAH, ok now you said that I need to do some type of system restore thing. What should I do. Also how do I get that file back into the system 32 folder once it's downloaded to my desktop.

Hey thanks for your help. If you ever get sick and are in a Cape Coral hospital, I'll make sure you get the best medical attention.LOL

You can copy it or move it from your Desktop to the c:\windows\system32 folder. Or you can just download it again but this time don't save it to your Desktop. Navigate to the C:\windows\system32 folder and save it there.

I'll be in Fort Myers from Nov 4th thru the 12th playing in the Roy Hobbs Tournament. We have several games near you. A couple at Terry Park and a couple over at the Red Sox training fields.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. If we used Pocket Killbox during your cleanup, do the below
      • Run Pocket Killbox and select File, Cleanup, Delete All Backups
    2. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    3. If you are running Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • go back to step 8 of the READ & RUN ME to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    4. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

This may be normal on some PCs. See if it does it again the second time you open it. That is, open it once and wait for it to fully load. Then exit FireFox and run it again. Does it still take a long time to load.

Actually we are pretty busy while down there with games and practice schedules. And then we spend time scouting out other teams we may have to play. And then we typically get most of the team together for dinner and whatever afterwards. We are very familiar with the area since we have been doing this since 1998.
