I apologize for the delayed response, I've been really busy the past two weeks, with the holidays and work it's been crazy trying to keep things caught up.

Let's get some fresh logs, run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

Well we always hate to hear this but I guess it's better because you know you're clean. We could have removed your infections but like I said it has been so busy for me the past two weeks.

If you formatted then there shouldn't be anything remaining unless you didn't format and instead did a reinstall on top of your current install.

During the reinstall, did you at one point press "F" ??

Also, if you need help in recovery of your files, post in the Software Forum and they can help you with this.

i dont think i did format properly because i had a folder on my desktop after i had formatted called temp or sumfink like that but there was nothing it in. i have formatted a comp before and never had that :S
i have got them all back now. i found the dvd i stored it all on :D thank u ever so much anyway. but i would be handy to get some sort of software that can recover files for instances like this. and is there a program i can get at all so i can make my hard-drive like new and nothing can be recovered ??

    p.s
thank u for the extremly quick replies much apreciated

There are software applications that will do so such as RecoverMyFiles & GetDataBack for NTFS. They are not free but do a great job.

For more information I would recommend the Software Forum.

Never heard of anything like this after a format. If you pressed "F" during setup when it prompts on what to do to the install partition then it should have formatted the partition.

I'm not sure about that, I've never seen it or heard anything like that.

You can post these questions in the Software Forum, those guys may be able to give you more information as this forum specialized in Malware Removal.
