I just got a wireless mouse: Kensington Ci65m notebook mouse & everytime i try to install it i get an HID-compliant device error when it's trying to install the drivers. I went to the website to download the driver for the mouse which was no help, since that driver did not work, but it works fine on my roommates laptop. I figure there must be something up with my laptop. It's a Toshiba Satellite P205 S7476 & i am running Windows Vista Premium 32bit, 1.50Ghz Intel Core Duo, 3GB RAM. Is there some sore of driver or update that i need for my laptop?

Have you tried other USB devices on the Toshiba? With most USB devices, you have to completely install the driver before connecting the device, and sometimes a reboot after installing the driver and before connecting the device can be helpful. You can also try installing some system drivers and software from Toshiba:
    hardware utility - http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/util_hw_setup_25958F.exe
    chipset - http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/driver_chipset_intel_25948A.exe
    value package - http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/util_tvap_os2007388a_t2_6but_tosh.exe
These are direct download links, and the files are self extracting zip files, but they can also be unzipped using TUGzip or another 'unzipper' type of program. Anyway- install the chipset drivers first, reboot, then try reloading the keyboard drivers, reboot, and then plug the device in. If it still doesn't work, install the other drivers and try again. They may not make any difference, but it's certainly worth a try.
    :-D
Good luck, and keep us posted!

(you could also try the optional hardware updates at Windows Update; I've used it with WinXP to fix USB driver problems)
