Hiding stuff on my computer

Identity pro is a software which claims to be able to hide my personal details on my computer. Does anyone know if its worth buying are these programmes capable to do what they say? Or does anyone know of a free one which is good? Secondly, please can anyone tell me of an internet anon surfer which is not so slow and preferably free that works. Many thanks for your time

Anonymous surfing will be slow by its nature.
This is one I trust http://www.torproject.org/
others, I'm not sure what info are kept on the servers, which means you might not be anonymous to those viewing the server info.

I NEVER put my personal details on the computer then there is nothing to hide. When I do an install, instead of typing my name, I always use something like Computer User , Computer Owner, or Windows Install.

You can download True Crypt and create a container to store files that no one can access with out a password. I have a container that I store password files, etc. TrueCrypt is free and very well developed.
Like the other poster said TOR is an option, there is an easy implementation in Firefox called the TOR button, its an add-in.

Encryption is more fun. They know it's there, but drives them CRAZY trying to get to see it.:-D
Hide in plain sight.
Then right click on the file, go to Properties, and check"Make Hidden"rolleyes
